Important News - Corona Virus Update
Please read - Office & Services information

We at the North Suburban Cook County American Job Center are strongly committed to serving our jobseekers.

Unfortunately, the office being closed to the public due to COVID-19 has forced us to adjust access to in-person services.

We are currently developing methods for new customers to access services virtually and are working with our grant funders and partners to accomplish this.

Please contact us by email at contact@bcsillinois.org to let us know which services you are interested in and we will respond to you as soon as possible with updates regarding availability.

Please check our website frequently in days to come for service updates and information about local employers with urgent hiring needs. www.worknetncc.com

Unemployment Insurance Benefits and access to IDES Services

IDES announces new filing procedures, due to high volume. See here.

The governor issued an executive order to waive the 7-day waiting period for residents to apply for unemployment benefits, meaning anyone who qualifies can file and become immediately eligible instead of experiencing a week-long lag during this challenging time. Apply for UI here

Workforce innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Programming

We are open, operational, and here to help. We remain 100% committed to supporting your career goals and business needs, while we practice social distancing to help protect the health of our community. Following Governor Pritzker's "stay at home" order to fight COVID19, the North Suburban Cook County American Job Center has closed its physical facility, but we continue to serve the public remotely.

For our clients that means meeting with a career counselor about funding for training via Google Meet, or having a Skype call to review your resume instead of at our office in Arlington Heights. We are adapting, eager to serve, and with a mission that remains constant: ensuring opportunity for all.

If you are a prospective WIOA participant, please email us at contact@bcsillinois.org with next steps in getting involved in the WIOA program.

Any Questions can be directed to contact@bcsillinois.org .

Workshops and Classes

All classes and workshops held at the center and affiliate locations have been cancelled until further notice.  We are in the process of deploying our remote solution for classes and workshops going forward on a temporary basis.
